Record Management
With Octal's StreamOps you are able to view, insert, and delete records on any topic in your cluster with the click of a button.
View Records
Viewing records in StreamOps is done via the SQL Workbench. There you are able to view all the records in any of your topics. To get to SQL Workbench click the workbench icon in the topic detail page or in the StreamOps navigational header at the top of the page as seen below. NOTE: At minimum a professional license is required to access SQL Workbench
Delete Records
In order to delete a record you will need to click the delete record button near the top of the topic detail page. This should bring up the delete record pane as seen below.
In the delete record pane you can specify which partitions you would like to delete records from, or delete from all if left blank. Additionally you will need to specify the offset you would like to delete until. Note: In a streaming service you cannot just delete an individual record you need to specify an offset to delete until.
Insert Records
Back at the topic detail page you can also insert records by click the insert record button near the top of the topic detail page as seen below. This will bring up the insert record pane.
From the insert record pane you are able to specify the configuration for the record you would like to insert and the values you would like to insert. Once you have entered the required parameters click the insert button and the record will be added to the topic.
